So far it seems that most of what we've done this year has had to do with Ashley's cheer team and specifically competition season. So far she has competed in 2 competitions and I posted videos of both on YouTube. The took first place overall at the Springfield invitational and third place overall at the Sheldon Invitational. She took competition honors at the Sheldon competition and got to bring home the trophy! Yeah Ashley! We are sooo proud of her. She really has been working hard. I'll try to post the videos here, but no promises. My tech skills are pretty low at this point.
Even with Ashley's busy schedule Rob and I have still managed to sneek away for a couple of Friday night dates balroom dancing. I've thoroughly enjoyed- I'm not sure Rob has, but he's a good sport. He's a good dancer too!

Rob and I bought a video camera yesterday and hope to be able to figure out how to get some videos of the children loaded today. We watched the videos of Hannah on Melissa's page and it helped us to feel like we could still be a part of her life even if we don't live just down the street. We hope that our videos will do the same for all of you.

breastfeeding in public
I was shocked to learn this morning that Facebook has banned any pictures of breastfeeding! That is totally ridiculous! I cannot believe it is ok to post near-pornographic pictures of people in a druken or drugged state, and it is not acceptable to post pictures of your child breastfeeding. Babies were born to be breastfed and breastmilk is nature's most perfect food. Is there anything as beautiful as the peace and tranquility on a nursing baby's face? It is a moment in time when you get to see the love and the bond between mother and child as it forms. I for one would like to see them ban pictures of people sagging their pants so low I can see their underwear, or the top of their butttocks!
